Meet Daisy, a 6-year-old domestic shorthair named after the one and only Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby.
Darling Daisy starts off shy and timid at first, but once she gains your trust and comes out of her shell, she’s the sweetest cat with lots to talk about. She loves to lay on her human while watching TV on the couch and really enjoys perching in high places, especially window hammocks. She thinks books make the best cheek rubbers and red ribbons are the most amazing toys in the world. Although, any colored ribbon will suffice.
She is a little odd though, with a knack for finding the most random times to have a case of the zoomies and a deep hatred of the doorbell and the strangers that come with it. Don’t be worried if she hides from visitors for a while before getting curious.
Until last year, Daisy had always lived in a 5th floor apartment and never went outside. Even now, with a backyard of her own, she prefers to stay inside, which is best due to her lack of front claws. Occasionally, she likes to venture out to the patio with her human, but never goes further than a few feet from the door.
Daisy was adopted in 2018 by her current family and was diagnosed with urinary crystals in December 2022. She requires prescription food and lots of water as treatment. Naturally, Daisy doesn’t always feel good and wants other animals to leave her alone, making her current home a stressful place full of friend cats turned foes. She will do best in a home where she is the only pet and can absorb all the love of her family without having to share. She does not do well with dogs or other cats.
Daisy is spayed, declawed, and up to date on her shots.
