Hi, I’m Bub! I also go by Bubba-lubs, chihuahua, and my official name, Sirius Black. I am a 9-year old, 9-pound chi-weenie and I have all my current shots. I am super low maintenance and I am aged to perfection. I was initially rescued from the Dallas SPCA and adopted by my current family in 2017.
I’m a very chill go-with-the-flow kind of guy. I love my walks and enjoy smelling every. single. thing. My favorite activity, though, is to cuddle as close as humanly possible to my person. Blankets are a plus. In fact, blankets are a Must. My moms say that I am very smart and I am fully house & crate-trained. In fact, the crate is the best place for me to sleep since I can get a little grumpy during the night.
I love to eat but I never overeat so you can leave my food out all day and I’ll get to it as I need it. I love treats, however, during my former SPCA-stay, they kept some of my teeth, so I prefer soft treats and small kibbles. But… if you have a bully-stick, I won’t say no.
Don’t worry about having to toss a ball around all day as I’m totally happy just catching up on our latest Netflix series. I also love sunbathing. Fun fact: if you leave warm laundry out, you will absolutely find me burrowed deep in the warmth. Keeping those clothes warm for you, of course.
Okay, if you’ve made it this far I guess you know I am not perfect. I am fiercely loyal and at times feel the need to protect you from others, including the littlest of your kind. I am friendly with kids and adults, but I get uneasy with too many around. I don’t like the chaos. Unpredictable behaviors can make me defensive. I think I might fit in with some other fur siblings but might have to give it a test run. My vet gave me some medicines to help calm me down when those big feelings hit (or if there’s a big scary thunderstorm!)
