Breed(s): American Staffordshire Terrier
Meet Nori! Nori is almost 3 years old. She was the runt of a litter of 5 rescue pups that were found around the end of July 2019. She's a mix of American Staffordshire Terrier (62%), Akita (12.5%), and mix of sighthound and Asian groups (25%).
She's spayed, chipped, and up to date on all vaccinations, and takes monthly heartworm, flea and tick meds. She is very well socialized and can enjoy a long day at the dog park, playing hard with other dogs there, especially after whichever is the fastest, as well as greeting every dog's human(s) that brings them to the park, at the entry gate.
At home, she's potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go via attempts at telepathy, while looking you in the eyes. Otherwise, she loves to cuddle or nap, and is as lazy as she is active, so she's in both worlds, in that regard. Whether it's laying on the couch, or on the floor, using your foot as a pillow, she is quite affectionate, and will enthusiastically move in for scratches, petting, and belly rubs (for the rest of eternity, if you had the energy), particularly when you come in after having been gone for a few hours.
As far as car rides are concerned, she loves them and putting her head out of the back window while you're driving, even if you were going F1 speeds. Although she's not a fan of water outside of drinking it, she will reluctantly allow you to bathe her and is quite fond of a hot towel to roll in afterward. Brushing her coat helps with her shedding. She will try to eat the clumps of fur if they're put within reach. But, she doesn't tolerate her nails being cut, and has pulled her paws away, and even ran off, when had tried at home.
After completing up to advanced training at PetSmart, she is familiar with some basic commands, such as sit, down, wait, stay, come, ok (release command), but is highly intelligent and more than capable of learning, relearning, and even adapting to you modifying commands that she has already learned. As far as being around kids, she hasn't been around small children.
