Hi, my name is Last Minute Valentine’s Day Gifts!
Adult Small Female
Schnauzer / Mixed
Meet Last Minute Valentine’s Day Gifts, a 3 year old Schnauzer min mix who weighs about 10 pounds!
Last Minute Valentine’s Day Gifts has a lot of personality! Her foster said, “She keeps us laughing with the way she plays and the adorable expressions on her little face. She is funny, sweet, a little spunky, playful, and affectionate.” She is leash and crate trained and currently working on learning commands like sit. She is good with other dogs, and even though she hasn’t been around kids or cats, her foster thinks she would be fine.
This sweetheart loves to be in your lap or next to you on the couch and will even bury her face in your arm or sweatshirt when she sleeps! Her foster describes her activity level as moderate for a little dog. She loves to go for walks and play with toys, but also loves to cuddle up for a good snooze, which is the best of both worlds!
Last Minute Valentine’s Day Gifts has a liver shunt, which is a condition where the arteries develop around the liver instead of through it, making it more difficult for her to digest protein rich food. Liver shunts sometimes can be cause for surgery, however from speaking with our Vet, it was not recommended for Last Minute Valentine’s Day Gifts and keeping her on the Science Diet i/p prescription diet would be best.
Her amazing foster thinks Last Minute Valentine’s Day Gifts would do wonderfully with other dogs in the home, especially another small dog(s) that she could play with. Having other dogs would be beneficial because she could learn from them and become more confident by watching their behaviors. But, she would be fine as an only dog if the family was interactive & hands on with teaching her the way. She is your stereotypical “little dog” so an adopter who has had small fluffy dogs before would be ideal.
Now won’t you open your home up to this sweet little face?
