Hi, my name is Boone II!
Adult Medium Male
Cardigan Welsh Corgi / Mixed
This is Boone! He is a spunky Corgi mix who loves just about everyone and everything....except the vacuum cleaner! After a life as a stray, he's getting a second chance in a foster home while he waits for his perfect family.
Boone has an adorable nub tail that causes him to move his whole backside when he is happy or excited. If someone is willing to give him a belly rub (and accept some kisses), they’re his new best friend – he has never met a stranger! He is a very smart boy who would do well with structure and routine. He will be an extremely loyal and bonded companion once he finds his forever family.
Boone gets along well with other dogs and loves other people, including kids - he's definitely a people pup! When it comes to being outside, he is content sitting in his foster mom’s backyard to watch the squirrels, play with his foster brother or just take in the fresh air. He is still working on his leash skills, but is crate trained and housebroken! In fact, he LOVES his crate – so he would be fine to stay in the crate while his people worked during the day.
Boone's ideal home is one with lots of affection. His foster mom calls him an old soul because he is much calmer than most two-year-old pups. He would be happy to have a canine companion, but it is not necessary for him to be happy. He would do great in a home with kids, but possibly better with older or calmer children since he’s more on the laid-back side and enjoys calm and relaxation.
